MEI Rigging & Crating Expands with New Facility at Tahoe-Reno Industrial Center

Sparks, NV – MEI Rigging & Crating a premier national provider of rigging, machinery moving, millwrighting, specialized transportation, industrial storage, crating, and export packaging services, is proud to announce the opening of a brand-new facility at the Tahoe-Reno Industrial Center (TRIC), marking a major milestone in the company’s rapid growth.
The new TRIC facility offers 145,000 sq. ft. of indoor industrial storage, 2 acres of outdoor storage and is strategically positioned just six miles from 11 data centers currently under construction or expansion, along with multiple advanced manufacturing sites. This larger space significantly enhances MEI’s ability to support mission critical equipment storage.
The new facility has one 20’ x 14’ door as well as 18 dock doors. The facility will have a welding fabrication shop for small fabrication jobs and metal scopes. The building also offers 4,000 sq. ft. of office space which is currently being built out for employees. Indoor and outdoor storage is secured.
MEI will keep its current Reno location as well, offering a total of nearly 200,000 sq. ft. of indoor industrial storage and 3 acres of outdoor storage. MEI’s crate manufacturing operations will remain at the current MEI Reno facility.
In May 2017, MEI’s Reno location started as a single project site with a single job trailer. The team members included 25 employees coming in from MEI locations Phoenix, Salt Lake City, Dallas, Houston and San Antonio. Fast forward to January of 2021, the MEI Rigging & Crating Reno location quickly progressed, moving into a 32,000 sq. ft. warehouse. Shortly after, with the acquisition of Reno Custom Crating, MEI’s capabilities within the region were further strengthened.
