MEI Rigging & Crating Expands to 4 Million Sq. Ft. of Industrial Storage Capacity
MEI Rigging & Crating, LLC (“MEI”), a premier national provider of rigging, machinery moving, millwrighting, mechanical installation, industrial storage, crating, and export packaging services, has reached a significant milestone with over 4 million square feet of indoor industrial storage capacity. This milestone was achieved with Q2 2024 MEI facility expansions including:
- Washington, D.C: A&A Transfer, An MEI Company, expanded into the Southern Virginia market and now offers 175,000 sq. ft. of secure indoor storage and 1.5 aces of outdoor space in Richmond, VA.
- Dallas / Fort Worth: The MEI Forth Worth location added an additional indoor space of 50,000 sq. ft. to increase their climate-controlled storage option. MEI also expanded its Coppell, TX location with an additional 11 acres to help support storage of large generators, transformers, air handling units, and other mission critical equipment.
- Los Angeles: In Southern California, Dunkel Brothers., An MEI Company, expanded their footprint and now offers 450,000 sq. ft. of indoor secured storage with state of the art services including on-site power options from 110V – 480V for equipment testing and demonstration.
These facilities are part of MEI’s nationwide network of 50+ facilities across 14 states. MEI also offers more than 90 acres of outdoor storage space, automated inbound and outbound shipment receipt notifications that include images and scanned copies of shipping documentation, and on-demand inventory reporting.
Changes in construction methods and trends, including prefabrication and modularization, have decreased just-in-time equipment delivery to job sites, making access to secure short and long-term storage critical for the industry.
